Flower Essence Practitioner Training Program

It's time to reserve your place in the 2016 certification program!

Dates have been set for the 2016 Lichenwood Herbals Flower Essence Practitioner Training Program. We will meet on six Mondays, from 9:00am to 4:00pm on April 25, May 23, June 20, July 13, August 18, September 12. Classes take place in South Berwick, Maine.

Your tuition of $800 includes all 6 class days, substantial handouts in for a three ring binder that you provide and a starter kit of 30 flower essences. Contact by phone or email in between classes is encouraged. You are also offered a discount on flower essence therapy sessions for yourself (Please ask for details during your interview).

There are no required reading materials other than those that are provided in your handouts. However, most students do purchase books during the course of the class. You will receive an annotated bibliography as part of your materials. Lichenwood has an extensive library of books, cd’s, cassette tapes, dvd’s and videos. Some of these are available for borrowing. Those that cannot be borrowed may be used at my office, by appointment.

In order to receive certification you will need to complete a “plant study” and follow two clients through three sessions of flower essence therapy, preparing case studies for submission. You will receive ample guidance throughout this process. You have up to a year, after the last class weekend, to submit materials for certification. Extensions are granted on a case by case basis.

It is important to know that no certifications are required to do this work. Students take this class for many reasons. Some simply want to understand how to co-create flower essences and how to effectively use the essences with their family members and friends. Others are looking for adjunct therapies to enhance their work as counselors, therapists, herbalists or body workers. This class is suitable for students at all levels of knowledge.

A brief interview is required, by phone or in person, to be accepted into the program. This is a time for both student and teacher to ask questions about the classes and what is expected. A $300 deposit is needed to hold your place. $100 minimum payment is due thereafter at each subsequent class in April, May, June, July and August. Payments must be made by PayPal, cash, check or money order. All deposits are refundable up until February 28th. Your tuition cannot be refunded after that date unless I am able to fill your reserved spot in the program.

Absences may mean that you are no longer eligible for certification. Each day of class provides you with fundamental principles that are critical to your successful completion of the program. I will make every attempt to work with students who are sincere, yet experience extenuating circumstances that prevent them from attending any part of the class. The group dynamic adds much to your experience, however, and that cannot be duplicated in any time we might spend reviewing missed sessions. Make up sessions are completely up to the discretion of the instructor.

Please plan on spending time outside, in the garden, the woods, and the fields. You should be physically healthy enough to hike for an hour or two over uneven ground, possibly in hot weather. You must use natural insect repellent. We will do tick checks after our walks to minimize the chances of tick bites. For our indoor work, you should anticipate being able to listen, participate in discussion, and sit on a comfortable chair for several hours while enjoying fascinating information! Bring drinks, snacks, and a lunch each day in an insulated carrier. Water, tea, and coffee is available for everyone. You may not smoke, drink alcohol, or do drugs anywhere on the premises. You may not bring pets or children to class.
